The most gorgeous handcrafted textured, rainbow coloured stained glass butterfly 🦋 - ruby red, golden yellows, wispy orange and leaf greens. Vibrant and fun - inspired by the Hungry Caterpillar!
Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand, shaped, wrapped in copper foil, then soldered together. The butterfly is strengthened by additional copper wire soldered on the reverse. It is thoroughly cleaned before a final wax polish.
The glass includes some beautiful & unusual textured and wispy glass - all from my ‘stash’ collected over many years. It is chosen for its reflective quality as much as for the beautiful colour.
It is approx. 15 x 15cm (6 x 6”) and weighs approximately 150 gm.
The butterfly hangs from a black organza ribbonwhich can be adjusted to the right length.
Looks especially beautiful in front on a sunny window.
