Stained Glass Butterfly Suncatcher, Purple & Turquoise Window Art

The most gorgeous handcrafted purple,turquoise & blue stained butterfly 🦋 Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand, shaped, wrapped in copper foil, then soldered together. The butterfly has additional wire soldered in place to give it extra strength. The butterfly is cleaned and has a dark patina added before a final wax polish. The glass includes some beautiful & unusual textured ‘Florentine’ and ‘bubble’ glass - all from my ‘stash’ collected over many years. It is chosen for it’s reflective quality as much as for the beautiful colour. It is approx. 16.5 x 15cm (6.5 x 6”) and weighs approximately 150 gm. The butterfly has a ribbon to hang which can be adjusted to the right length. Looks especially beautiful in front on a sunny window. A perfect gift to show someone you care - or maybe for yourself!
