Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand, shaped, wrapped in copper foil, then soldered together. It is then cleaned before a final polish.
The coloured glass is carefully selected - a clear iridescent textured Florentine glass for the body and 3 different colours for the ‘saddle’
It is approximately 11cm x 15cm
(4”x 6”) and weighs about 85gms.
The elephant has a purple pastel rainbow crossgrain ribbon to hang which can be adjusted to the right length. It looks especially beautiful in front of a sunny window.
