Stunning contemporary style handcrafted sun catcher with a combination of 6 different types of glass.
Very simple but stunning design with great light refraction.
Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand, shaped, wrapped in copper foil, then soldered together. The suncatcher is cleaned and a dark patina is added before a final wax polish.
The glass includes different textured cobalt blues & turquoise glass - all from my ‘stash’ collected over many years. It is chosen for it’s texture as much as for the beautiful colour.
The sun-catcher hangs from a black organza ribbon which can be adjusted to the right length.
Looks especially beautiful in front of a sunny window.
