Blue Stained Glass Butterfly Suncatcher, Turquoise Cobalt Window Hanging

The most gorgeous handcrafted turquoise & cobalt blue stained butterfly 🦋 Each piece of glass is individually cut by hand, shaped, wrapped in copper foil, then soldered together. The silver solder contrasts beautifully with the colours of the glass. The butterfly has additional wire soldered in place to give it extra strength. The butterfly is cleaned before a final wax polish. The glass includes some beautiful & unusual textured ‘Florentine’ and ‘water’ glass - all from my ‘stash’ collected over many years. It is chosen for it’s reflective quality as much as for the beautiful colour. It is approx. 16.5 x 15cm (6.5 x 6”) and weighs approximately 150 gm. The butterfly has a ribbon to hang which can be adjusted to the right length. Looks especially beautiful in front on a sunny window. A perfect gift to show someone you care - or maybe for yourself!
